The Welcoming

One of my favorite sunrises in South America happened only one day into my first trip to Patagonia. I set up shop in the dark along the shores of a small lake with beautiful views of the most iconic mountain range in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. It was an extremely rare windless morning, as Patagonia is one of the windiest locations on Earth. The good luck continued with amazing reflections in the clear water and a burning, changing sky lasting well into golden hour. A long open shutter was used to capture the movement in the clouds and the brilliant color illuminating the landscape in the distance.
