Las Puertas del Cielo

This photograph must be the most heaven like scene from my travels in South America. It may not seem so, but this sunrise was not particularly vibrant or colorful. In fact, I almost did not expect the clouds to clear at all and was ready to give up on the hope of seeing the giant "Los Cuernos" peaks. In true Patagonia fashion, the weather changed, if only for a minute, and the wind blew a couple clearings; one for a view of the peaks and another for the color to attack the low hanging morning fog. This moment only lasted for a couple minutes before the peaks became enshrowded once more. This piece is appropriately titled "Las Puertas del Cielo" which translates to "The Pearly Gates" or "The Gates of Heaven" in English.
