Just a stones throw away from Zion National Park, Utah, lies an unbelievable trail. The Kanarra Creek winds itself through a beautiful slot canyon and seems like a fairy tale sort of scene as you step through. You must hike directly through the stream to proceed further into the canyon, climbing a couple sets of strategic ladders to move higher. A very real sense of adventure is with you as you ascend past beautiful waterfalls with only more beauty around every corner. This late afternoon shot was taken in Summer with the most iconic of the falls in frame. It is typically a very crowded trail during the high season, but wait until the sun begins to set and you will find less and less visitors, allowing for some uninterrupted photography. A 30 second shutter was used here to better capture the beautiful movement of water and the colorful illumination of the canyon walls.
